Brooks Ghost 13 - Scored a one star this time around. I've had almost every pair of Ghost trainers (I wish I could show you one of my early pairs that I still wear in the garden because I can't bear to part with them!) But one of my only complaints would be that the toe section wears through too quickly. As the year went by they added an additional piece of support across the toe section which was brilliant. However on the Ghost 13 they have reverted to just having mesh across the front and when they arrived this week I was so sad to see they felt like a pair of sketchers when I tried them on rather than supportive running trainers. I can't fault their customer service and I will buy an earlier version of the Ghosts (version 10 is my favourite) but please product design people, look at this again. I'm looking for a running trainer not a fashion shoe, and it needs to be tough for the New Forest Terrain.

The mesh upper of my Ghost 13s has shredded at the flex points of the toe-box, after just a few months of use. I run a road 5k once or twice per week, at best, and use the shoes for nothing else. Customer Service (and their mysterious 'Footwear Specialists') are claiming I've used the shoes for cycling (I don't even own a bike) and refusing to admit an issue with their product. I've never bought Brooks before and never will again. Just heartened in a way to see that other reviewers have had the same experience (sorry guys).

I bought two sets of ghost running…

I bought two sets of ghost running shoes and I have only ran in the gray one twice and the back lining is turning into little balls of material already. The black ones I ran in more the back lining has holes in it and the clothe ripped away from the shoe. This happened under six months of wearing the shoe. I will never buy Brooks again. You’d think it is a shoe company and they could make shoes that are worth what they sell them for. They make cheap and sell expensive. If your a runner run away from this company…..

Never buy Brooks shoes

I have a pair of Ghost Brooks that I purchased through a package at the Goodfeet store Indooropilly last year which they wouldn't refund as they refunded my purchases but wanted to get something out of my sale as they 'don't do refunds'. I agreed to it reluctantly as I got most of my money back but several months later I noticed the toe had started to come apart on the Brooks Ghost shoes. I contacted Brooks several times via email and phone and the customer service is the worst I have ever had. Brooks claimed this is wear and tear and said to contact the store I bought them from so they can just re-glue them. I explained on an email to them that I wasn't happy with the store and wanted nothing to do with them, the sole of the shoe is peeling away from the toe can I get these replaced under warranty? Of course no reply a few emails and phone calls later I asked for a manger to call me, again...no reply. I called again the following week finally got a phone call back from the manger I believe was Sarah to which she said I have the legal obligation with Goodfeet and the shoe was deemed to be wear and tear (although not sure how when it is on the top of the toe and hardly worn at all other than a few times on the treadmill) and therefore not under warranty. I asked if they could do something and explained my dealings with the store to the manager to which they just kept saying the same my legal obligation is with the store and started raising her voice. I told her how disappointed I have been with Brooks and the customer service and have since thrown the shoes away as the customer service, warranty and craftsmanship of brooks is worth nothing and I would highly recommend everyone to look the other way and definitely avoid Brooks at all costs!

Amazing running shoes I highly…

Amazing running shoes I highly recommend!
I was on the hunt for some new running shoes when a family friend who is a frequent long distance runner recommended brooks.
I am incredibly impressed with my running trainers they are so supporting and enable me to go further. Slowly I’m grown my mileage from 5k->7k and I’m now aiming for 10k!
I used the shoe finder tool online as is I wanted to find the perfect fit for my feet. I have a high instep and a wide foot and my old running trainers didn’t give me enough support so I’d get all sorts of aches and pains after running. It recommended me the Aduro 6, but I wasn’t sure whether the Adrenaline GTS 21 would be better as they came in a wider size so I bought both. They took a week or so to ship to the UK and after trying them both on I went with the Aduro 6 and returned the Adrenaline GTS (the return form was a little tricky but that’s Brexits fault not brooks) and received my refund within a fortnight.
I’ve been out running every other day since I got these trainers and haven’t had any aches or pains in my feet since. I will be recommending these trainers to everyone I know now!

Cascadia 14

My first Brooks trainers were Caldera 3s which were so good I thought I'd buy another pair but they were sold out. Brooks recommended Cascadia 14s which seemed slightly looser than the Calderas. After 6 months my big toes started to come through the mesh. I contacted customer services who sent me out a pair of Caldera 5s. Although I am happy with the customer service I did feel as if they were saying it's kind of my fault as I didn't use them for right purpose??? ( I used them for jogging/ walking) Although I had them for 6 months I didn't use them much and sent them pics of the tread which is like new. The obvious problem is they don't reinforce the toe area and the mesh is so flimsy it's ridiculous. They let me keep the Cascadias so I glued a piece of webbing to the inside of the toe area and it's completely transformed them, they fit snug as hell. Please please Brooks, reinforce the toe ares on your trainers, it's not rocket science and don't make customers feel as if we are lying, all we want is trainers that are fit for purpose. I will use Brooks again and hope they take this feedback constructively and not as a dig.

Best running shoes in the world

The shoes are a perfect fit for me and are by far the most comfortable, which is why I have bought several pairs. The customer service centre are excellent and the staff are very helpful.

Amazing customer Service

Been using Brooks shoes for years but the last pair of Glycerin 18 just didn’t work for me - Brooks Guarantee honoured with no quibble at all. Absolutely amazing customer service, will definitely be purchasing a new pair ASAP

Good 10k runner with sever pain in Brooks

I've been running a few years in any old shoes and I'm regularly doing 30+k a week. I have never had any pain in 10k distance but get a slight knee pain with over 15k. I also have slightly fallen arches and my feet fall to the inside as a run.
I decided it ws time to get some real shoes, so I went in for a gait analysis and shoes.
They told me the Brooks Defyance was the shoe for me.
I ran a short 3k round the park and I was in agony. This pain was in my right arch lasted for several days. I was unable to walk properly, much les run. The pain was muscular not skeletal.
I jave contacted Brooks about this but no response. Even with there amazing 90 Day trail I am still unable to get this issue sorted with Brooks.
Apparently they are only interested in selling you anything just so long as it is an expensive something.
Put simply, look elsewhere.
